After 5 years of careful research with pianists and trial and error, “Piano Shoes for Men” was finally completed.

Research and identification of pianists’ problems, (1) devising solutions, (2) creating prototypes, (3) experimenting, and (4) making improvements, all over again.
We devoted ourselves to research and development to “free pianists from the stress of pedaling” and “evolve their playing,” and after more than five years of hard work, the one and only “Men’s Piano Shoes” was born.

Release pedal stress.
Concentrates brain activity on finger movement.
Toward rich tone and musical expression.

The Little Pianist’s patented curved heel that allows free control of the pedals.
This heel is the most important feature that makes pedaling much easier and sets it apart from other ordinary shoes.
It provides exquisite control and nimble pedaling with much less energy.

Differences in muscle strain when pedalling three times

This magic cup insole reduces muscle load and makes feet longer and more stylish.
Its uniquely developed cup insole supports the metatarsals, wraps around the entire sole, and holds the foot and shoe firmly so the foot does not move inside the shoe.
The “fit that feels like one with the foot” and the “secure feeling that the heel, the fulcrum, is fixed” contribute to stability during pedaling and enable delicate pedal operation.

Piano shoes with mesh material that absorbs perspiration and prevents foot steam. Features of the Magic Cup Insole

The insole has no cushioning.
This is because research data has shown that a soft insole causes “blurring” when pedaling.
The cup insole, originally developed by Little Pianist, transmits the force of the foot directly to the pedals, enabling the player to pedal as he wishes.

The Little Pianist’s original outsole is well-researched and provides smooth pedaling.
Sole with calculated friction coefficient reduces foot fatigue and contact noise between metal pedals and soles.

Rare and valuable round toe design.
No more trouble with your toes hitting the piano when pedaling, as there are no cavities characteristic of men’s shoes in the fingertips!
On some types of pianos, there have been incidents where the shoe tips get stuck in the decorations around the pedals, suddenly preventing the intended pedaling.
Little Pianist’s piano shoes have a toe shape designed to prevent such incidents on important stages.

Mr Yusuke Kikuchi, pianist

Piano shoes” as a tools for playing

Free yourself from the stress of pedaling and focus your brain on finger movement.
More creative and evolved performance…
It is said, “He who controls the piano controls the piano. Pedaling” is so important in piano playing that it is said, “He who controls the piano controls the piano.
Pianists cannot change the piano they play on, but they can easily change the shoes they wear.
Why don’t you wear functional piano shoes that allow you to pedal to your heart’s content and stand out from your rivals?

With the heel up, you can achieve a foot-length style.
The feeling of height and confidence that comes with heightening your stature. It gives the performer tremendous power.

Every performer is concerned about his “standing posture on stage.
A higher grade of appearance with heel-up men’s piano shoes.
They give a stylish impression because even the feet are refined and the back is straight.
The “heightened elation” and “confidence” will also affect your performance on stage. You will not be buried in the crowd of tall foreigners at international competitions abroad.
The style that brings you confidence and a sense of beauty on stage will give you joy every time you wear them.

Comfort that makes you want to wear them every day
Formal shoes that can be worn like sneakers

The comfort that envelops your entire foot is a new sensation!
The plain toe design, which has no stitching around the toe area, stretches the fabric around the toe area and is ideal for preventing soreness in the toes.
The design pursues comfort as well, and the consideration and ingenuity that allows pianists to play with ease shines through.

The external shuttlecock style makes it easy to adjust the fit. The comfort of the shoes is dramatically different.
The flat strap is hard to untie and can be easily tied like a pair of sneakers.
Gold” dove accents make the laces easy to slip on and off.
The “red” color is exciting and gorgeous, and the “black” enamel has a graceful luster.
Stylish color scheme of “black,” “red,” and “gold,” the image colors of the piano.

You can do a delicate vibrato pedal with tremendous speed, as if you had lubricated each joint. It’s as if it’s not my foot.

Kazumasa Matsumoto, pianist

To be honest, I underestimated it a bit. I thought I was good at pedaling to begin with, so even so, I was sure I could do the same with any shoes.
But I was surprised when I tried them on. I was surprised to see how easily my feet moved. I didn’t normally feel any problems, I thought I was pedaling normally, but when I wore these shoes, my feet moved smoothly as if each joint had been lubricated, as if all the square parts had been rounded. Then I realized that my feet were doing delicate vibrato pedals at a tremendous speed. It was as if they weren’t my own feet.
Since then, these shoes have become indispensable for performance. I’m not a turncoat or anything, but I really feel that everyone should give these shoes a try.

The passive feeling, without even a ‘sense of control’, is something new.

Mr Yusuke Kikuchi, pianist

No matter what I wear or whether I am barefoot or not, for a seasoned pianist, the ‘operating feel’ of the pedals is something that I am hardly even aware of.
But even for me, there is a unique lightness in the feeling of these shoes.
The passive feeling that makes you feel as if you have ‘heard’ a certain sound and the music is directly affected by it is a new thing.
In a word, it’s just so easy.

It was Claude Debussy who said the “Pedal is the Soul of the Piano”.

scar Wong, pianist

It was Claude Debussy who said the “Pedal is the Soul of the Piano”. Thanks to the unique nature of these shoes, the pianist enters the stage in silence. And with the most minimal of fatigue, they are able to perform pedalling of the finitist nuances, that which he imagined in his mind and heard in his heart.

Quantify the load on your feet when pedaling, A demonstration experiment was conducted with pianists to measure the effectiveness of piano shoes.

In September 2022, an experiment was conducted at a piano studio in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture, to measure the effect on the feet during performance using electromyograms and accelerometers. It has been proven that there is.

Dr. Kazutaka Adachi, Doctor of Science, The University of Tokyo

In pedaling, a force of between 5 and 7 kg is exerted on the right foot only, and in developing children this can affect bone development if they are not wearing the right shoes.
Piano shoes are ergonomically sensible in terms of the hardness and shape of the soles and the curvature of the heel, and pedaling movements in particular are easy and as desired because the fulcrum is close to the ankle joint, just below it.
This results in less stress and awareness on the feet and allows the brain to concentrate on the movement of the fingers.
